April edition of EFFRA’s Newsletter

The April edition of EFFRA’s Newsletter has now been printed and is being delivered to all residents.

It focuses on the decision of the Secretary of State to allow the the Appeal by Berkeley Homes and the Howard of Effingham School reported here. The Chairman’s Report says that the village can feel badly let down by its local authorities – Surrey County Council which is responsible for school maintenance and rebuilding and Guildford Borough Council for its delay in replacing the out of date 2003 Local Plan and consequently having no 5 year housing supply, but most of all by the Government with its worthless promise to protect the Green Belt. This topic will be the main focus of EFFRA’s AGM on Monday 30th April at 8pm at St Lawrence Church Hall.
