Both EFFRA and Effingham Parish Council have submitted objections to the proposed diversion of Footpath 114 on Effingham Common.
The proposal to divert a portion of the footpath which is on land owned by Berkeley Homes was previously reported here.
Both organisations have objected on the grounds that the footpath is on common land and the proposed diversion would be significantly less pleasant and convenient than the current route and that the effect of the diversion would be detrimental to the public enjoyment of the path considered as a whole.
