Buses Excetera has gone into administration on Monday 11 March leaving many school pupils unable to get home, as reported in GetSurrey here. Effingham was serviced by two bus companies, Repton Coaches and Buses Excetera.
Repton Coaches continues to operate the 478 bus service between Guildford and Leatherhead/Woodbridge, and the school 678 bus service between Ripley and Howard of Effingham School.
Buses Excetera operated the 479 bus service, which ran between Epsom, Leatherhead and Guildford. This service has ceased operation, as no other company has yet come forward with a plan to replace it.
