Surrey County Council has closed footpath 119a, that is one that runs up the side of The Vineries garden centre, between Lower Road and Water Lane, on health & safety grounds. The notice is dated 21 May 2020 at 12:00, and will be valid for 21 days to allow the council to have the footpath cleaned. Alternative route, and safer to ensure safe distance between people is via Water Lane.
As of today 25 May, the Travellers were still camped out on the Effingham Lodge Farm site. Hopefully they will be moved on after the Bank Holiday.
