RHS Wisley delighted that trees saved from proposed M25-A3 upgrade

RHS Wisley are delighted that Highways England’s preferred option to widen the A3 will not land grab 10,000 sq. metres of woodland, which would have destroyed more than 500 important trees from RHS Garden Wisley.

However, RHS Wisley are concerned about access to the garden, as there will be no access to Wisley Lane from the A3, forcing people on a 7 mile detour. RHS Wisley is in talks with Highways England about possible alternative solutions.
