Following the devastating fire, Effingham is now left with only three shops open, The Bakery, Parkers and the Community Store.

Open 07:00 to 14:00 hours Monday to Saturday – also supplying flour, sugar and eggs.
Two customers allowed in shop at one time.

Open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 15:00 hours

The Plough, are having a phased reopening. On Friday 3 July, and Saturday 4 July for takeways, with pub open from Thursday 9 July evening. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Book 24 hours in advance for a table. Details on website.

Great Bookham has a number of shops open, including greengrocers, butchers, Co-op, pharmacy

East Horsley, second shopping parade by train station will have a number of shop open

Are open for visiting customers with social distancing precautions, 8.30am – 5pm Monday – Saturday. The Nursery also has a ‘non contact, ‘click and collect’ service for many items and local delivery is available for plants, compost, planters and outdoor furniture.

All shops are observing social distancing rules and are limiting the number of customers. Many of the shop managers and staff are working long hours to keep the shops stocked and are under pressure. We are sure residents will be grateful for their hard work and will respect the measures in place with patience and courtesy.
