This afternoon and early evening, all the Travellers have left the Effingham Lodge Farm site, after the Police gave them notice. They were seen departing towards Bookham along Lower Road, destination unknown. They have left rubbish and a fire on the grass which has just led to a police car and fire engine attending. Currently there is just one Police car on the site. Hopefully Berkeley Homes will secure the site tomorrow.
There are 2 traveller sites in leatherhead young street and river lane , so wheres the excuse that they have nowhere else to go. Sorry but it’s one rule for them , or rather no rules for them but the rest of us have to obey the rules.
