A letter has been sent by Quod on behalf of the appellants – Berkeley Homes (Southern) Ltd and the Howard Trust Partnership which has been submitted to the Secretary of State claiming that the Examiner’s report on the Effingham Neighbourhood Plan, issued in September 2017 after the closure of the Inquiry, is consistent with their case at the Inquiry that the Neighbourhood Plan does not provide a basis for rejecting the Appeal proposals.
Guildford Borough Council and Effingham Parish Council have been given two weeks to respond, after which there will be a further opportunity for parties to comment on the responses. Consequently, the date for the Secretary of State to issue his decision has been put back from 7th December 2017 to “on or before” 11th January 2018.
