Confusion reigns in Effingham following an announcement by the Howard of Effingham School that it will no longer use the King George V (KGV) playing fields because of a 43% price hike, proposed by the Effingham Village Recreational Trust. But one trustee, speaking on behalf of the trustees’ committee, has emphatically denied that any such price increase was to be imposed.
