Headteacher, Helen Pennington said: “I am delighted to be able to once again congratulate students and teachers on an excellent set of well-deserved examination results.

“This very positive outcome is the result of sustained hard work and all concerned should be very proud of their achievements. We wish all our students well as they embark on the next stage of their education and look forward to welcoming many back to our 6th form in September.”

Overall, 83 per cent of the students gained five or more A*-C grades including English and mathematics and 40.5 per cent of the grades awarded were A* or A.

Across the year, 25 students gained at least 10 A*/A grades.
