On the Berkley Homes Streetlife thread ‘John’ comments:

Mole Valley District Council are strengthening their draft objection  in respect of

– enabling development

– capacity of the highway network

-Green Belt

See action list  from 4 March Development control committee meeting

You can view the 30 minutes discussion involving no less than 13 councillors on the webcast replay – it starts at 2117, the last item on their agenda:

There is also a report in today’s Leatherhead Advertiser,Decision Day Looms on School’s housing plan but it is inaccurate as it quotes the MVDC draft letter as if it has been sent – it is being redrafted and made stronger – and then suggests GBC are considering the application at committee on Wed 11 March. As we know, they are not considering for some time, probably not til after the elections.

Editor’s Note

We contacted the Dorking & Leatherhead Advertiser journalist Alex Robertson who explained that he had called Guildford Borough Council on 2/3/15 to confirm the Planning Committee date.  Apparently at that point this application was still listed for the March Planning Committee.  We found his article useful and informative.
