Route for construction traffic agreed for ELF

Berkeley Homes has submitted a statement for how construction traffic will enter and leave the Effingham Lodge Farm site during the construction phase of the new Howard of Effingham School and the 159 houses on the site.

All construction traffic, including contractors and delivery vehicles will use Effingham Common Road to access the site, and not use The Street or Lower Road. HGVs will leave the A3 at Cobham and follow the A245 to Bridge Road, Horsley Road, then turn left into Effingham Common Road.

Construction traffic will only be permitted between 08:00 to 18:00 Mondays to Fridays, and 08:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays. All vehicles will be required to park on site or in designated car parks. Deliveries to the site will be between 09:30 to 14:00 to minimise congestion during peak times. The public highway should be kept clear at all times.

The route has been agreed with Surrey County Highway Authority, and accepted by GBC to enable Condition 35 to be partially discharged.

Full details are available on the GBC planning website for 18/D/00174/2 , see documents dated 12 Feb. 2021 here
