Surrey Council Leaders Warn Region is ‘Already Straining at the Seams’ as GBC Submits Local Plan

The Guildford Dragon has published an article, available here, stating that all 11 of Surrey’s Borough and District Councils have written to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, The Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP, expressing concern about the amount of housing development expected in the county, and the impact on the Green Belt. The reason is for the way that the housing target is calculated, which results in very high numbers for Surrey.
