Temporary closure of High Barn Road planned

Surrey County Council propose to make D268 High Barn Road, Ranmore Common – Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2020 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D268 High Barn Road, Ranmore Common that extends from its junction with D269 Hogden Lane to its junction with C44 Ranmore Common Road.

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Kelly Group to carry out poling and cabling works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 12 November 2020.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians at all times. The vehicular diversion route will be via Hogden Road and Ranmore Common Road.
