The People of Effingham During World War I

Effingham Local History Group has been working on an Exhibition of the people of Effingham during World War I in one form or another for at least a couple of years, and represents a huge investment of time and personal resources from members of the group. It will be a large and detailed show with plans for 40 display panels, each with 4-5 items on them. There will be a huge number of never before displayed photographs, some of national importance, which will describe how the People of Effingham became intimately connected with many aspects of the Great War.

The group will also be launching a splendid new full-colour book based on their previous exhibition “Edwardian Effingham: the Book of the Exhibition”.

The Exhibition will be held at King George V Hall on Saturday 3 December between 11am to 5pm. Admission Free.
