On Saturday 4 June there will be celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The churches have been decorated with children’s paintings. There will be lots of events in the KGV playing fields from 12:00 to 9pm, details below, and at www.effinghamkgv.co.uk/jubilee/.
EFFRA will be running the donations bar in the Jubilee Royal Garden Party from 2.30 to 4pm in the Jubilee Gardens opposite St Lawrence Church manned by some committee members. The Garden Party is open to the whole community.
The Crossways road will be closed, along with parts of Church Street and Browns Lane. Residents are encouraged to walk to the KGV if possible. There will be limited parking in Brown’s Lane in the KGV and St Lawrence Church Hall car parks accessible from the A246 and other car parks will be opening in the village for the day.
