Effingham is a rural parish in the metropolitan Green Belt. It is situated 7 miles east from Guildford and 4 miles west from Leatherhead. It resides in the borough of Guildford, in the county of Surrey. Although small it has a vibrant community and is serviced by local shops. It is surrounded by open countryside and to the south is the Surrey Hills, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
