Guildford Borough Council boundary review published

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England has published its final recommendations for Guildford Borough Council, which can be read here

Currently there are 48 councillors elected from 22 wards, with 9 three-councillor wards, 8 two-councillor wards, and 5 single-councillor wards. The number of councillors will remain the same, but the number of wards reduced to 21, which will provide 8 three-councillor wards, 11 two-councillor wards, and 2 single-councillor wards. There are no changes to Effingham ward, which remains a single-councillor ward.

Final recommendations for the boundary review for Mole Valley are expected 6 September.

Subject to parliamentary approval, implementation of the new arrangements at local elections should take place in May 2023.
