Planning Application submitted for Church Street

Ashgrove Homes Ltd have submitted planning application 22/P/01205 for the Land at Church Street. The proposal is for the erection of 10 homes, consisting of four 2-bedroom, four 3-bedroom and two 4-bedroom homes. Each property has its own parking, with a further 4 visitor spaces. There will be a green open space between the properties, and the burial ground extension.

The site has been allocated in the Effingham Neighbourhood Plan for development for up to nine homes.

  1. The road in front of the Queens stage is a congestion nightmare and is in a very poor state of repair. More off st parking is urgently needed in this area. It’s a great shame the council has put up parking charges whilst allowing a Tesco development to close a free car park in Bookham. Do the council care about local shops and businesses- it seems not…
