The Inspector, Jonathan Bore, has completed his examination of Guildford’s Local Plan, and has published his final report, which can be read at www.guildford.gov.uk/newlocalplan/examination
The housing requirement has been reduced to 562 dwellings per year. Five other main modifications that the Inspector originally proposed have been dropped after consultation.
Guildford Borough Council (GBC) have to decide whether or not to accept the modifications to the draft Local Plan. If the modifications are accepted the Local Plan will be adopted. GBC have said they hope to be able to complete this process before the local elections on 2 May.
