Beech Avenue will be closed from Guildford Road to Beech House, from Monday 10 June for 7 days – Monday to Friday 9:30am to 2:30pm, Saturday’s 9am to 5pm. This is to allow Surrey County Council to surface dress the road.
It is essential to keep the road free from parked vehicles to enable the work to proceed as planned.
The process of Surface Dressing is completed at separate stages and the road will need to be closed at
each stage. New advanced warning signs will be placed on the road to notify you at each stage. Where
appropriate, there can be several stages to these works:

- Stud (cat’s eyes) removal
- Full Surface Dressing
- Waterproofing and sealing the Surface Dressing (LockChip)
- Stud (cat’s eyes) replacement
- Lining
Please note, following works it can take a few weeks for the lining and studs to be replaced. All lining
will be replaced like for like.
