BT has applied to remove 38 phone boxes within the Borough of Guildford. The Guildford Dragon has an article about the removal here
On 7th October 2016, BT has submitted planning application 16/C/00003 to remove the telephone box in The Street, Effingham, located next to the post box in the shopping parade, and the building that used to be the Post Office.
Anyone who wants to comment on the removal of the phone box, must do so Guildford Borough Council planning department, by 7 January 2017.
