James Nicholls, who was a former Parish Councillor and EFFRA committee member, sadly died in Epsom Hospital aged 67 on Sunday 27 July. James was well known in Effingham and was very proud to have lived here all his life.

We are very sorry to hear about the death of James . we have known James, for a very long time, we have been over the past years, very good friends.
We haven’t seen much of him as of late .But I am very pleased to say that i hand delivered him a Christmas card last year.

Very sorry to learn of James’ passing. We had known one another for many years, including serving on EFFRA committee together. He was a stalwart servant of the Effingham community where he had lived all his life.

It is with great sadness that I’ve only just found out about James’ death. I hadn’t seen him for many years, but we were good friends back in the 1980’s and I remember many happy times from then, especially at the Ranmore Arms.
