Effingham Neighbourhood Plan Referendum date set for 22 Feb. 2018

Guildford Borough Council (GBC) has issued the following statement regarding the Effingham Neighbourhood Plan:

The neighbourhood plan was examined by an independent examiner in the summer of 2017. The Council is required to decide what action to take in response to each of the examiner’s recommendations and publish a decision statement setting out the decision and the reasons for making it.

The Council agreed with the examiner’s recommendations, which were that the plan should be modified as specified in the report and then a referendum of eligible voters should be held within the Effingham Neighbourhood Area (Effingham parish and ward). The decision statement, which includes details of the decision, can be seen on the following webpage or at the Council offices at Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 4BB.

  1. If the referendum is held on February 22nd doesn’t that coincide with the date the decision is due on the Berkeley Homes’ appeal? Feb 22nd is currently the date shown on the EPC website.
