EFFRA has now objected to the two new planning applications submitted by Berkeley for the Effingham Lodge Farm/Howard School scheme. The planning applications seek permission to reduce the affordable homes in the scheme from 20% to zero and to increase the number of new homes which can be occupied from 100 to 258 homes in advance of practical completion and transfer of the new school as reported in our earlier post.

EFFRA has been contacted by residents asking how to object and on what planning grounds. Residents wanting help on grounds to object can use the grounds in EFFRA’s letter or say that they object and support the objections in EFFRA’s letters. Residents can email: info@effinghamresidents.org.uk for a Word version of the EFFRA letters.
Residents can submit their objections in one of the following ways:
1. Direct on the GBC website. Go direct to the GBC planning portal
Use the links provided on the planning application numbers 26/P/00146 and 26/P/00147
or go to https://www.guildford.gov.uk/article/24686/Search-for-information-about-a-planning-application and
search for the planning applications by their reference number 26/P/00146 and 26/P/00147. Select the
‘Comments’ tab, then the option to Make a Comment. You will need to log in or register to make the comment.
2. Email your objection to planningenquiries@guildford.gov.uk quoting the planning application
reference numbers 26/P/00146 and 26/P/00147 and your name and address and objection.
3. By post. You can also write to Guildford Borough Council quoting the
planning application reference numbers 26/P/00146 and 26/P/00147, your name and address
and objection and send to:

Note:
• You need to object to both objections
• The current closing date for objections is 21st March but objections can normally be
submitted after that date until the planning officer makes their recommendation.
• Guildford Borough Council stipulates that only comments relating to planning issues can be
considered when assessing and determining planning applications and will not accept
objections containing offensive language or inappropriate content.
• You will need to give your name and address but your address will not be published.
