Guildford Borough Council to Vote on Adopting Local Plan before Local Elections

Guildford Borough Council voted by 25 votes to 14 on April 9th not to defer the council’s decision on the Local Plan until after the forthcoming election.  Opposition councillors claimed the decision is being rushed through. An extraordinary meeting will be held on April 25th to vote on adoption of the Plan just a week before local elections on 2 May.
