Early this evening (12 August 2020), Bailiffs along with the Police attended the St Lawrence Church Hall site in Browns Lane. The Gypsies who have been occupying the site since Thursday, departed at about 6:30pm along with their 6 caravans.
We have been told that there was a fair amount of general rubbish left and the field will need to be decontaminated due to human waste.
The church is currently blocking the entrance to the church hall with a vehicle, but longer term are planning to install increased security measures at the entrance.
