I need to correct this introduction, as I have NOT stated that I oppose the increase. As a member of the GBC Planning Committee it would be quite wrong for me to pre-judge a possible planning application for additional homes.
As I say in the article, I was appalled by the original appeal decision, and any new application for additional homes would need to be judged against current planning policy, ie the adopted Local Plan and the Effingham Neighbourhood Plan.
