Thank you to the 33 residents who came and helped with the litter pick so enthusiastically this morning. As a result there are 18 full bags of rubbish and Effingham is a cleaner place. Thanks also to Loolabell for her generosity in supplying well deserved complementary drinks and ice cream to the thirsty and hot volunteers.
Volunteers told us they had enjoyed the morning and felt it was worthwhile. As a result, as agreed with the volunteers, EFFRA and the Parish of St Lawrence and All Saints will aim to organise another litter pick in the autumn when the vegetation has died back. We have already had feedback but welcome more so that we can improve the organisation of the next litter pick.
