The Gypsy and Traveller Group quit their encampment on Effingham Common early this morning possibly before first light.
There was a signs of a sudden departure with unopened sweet packets, children’s toys and a half used loaf of bread left lying on the ground. The main gate on to Effingham Common Road had been resecured by around 10am today (August 29, 2017).
