Work has started on refurbishment of Bevans the Butchers shop which was devastated by fire, nine months ago on 21 April 2020. The interior of the shop has now been completely stripped, and the damaged cold storage unit removed at the rear, all in preparation to rebuild a new shop interior, cold storage unit, and following a successful planning application, an extension to the shop at the side.

Bevans Directors are hoping that the building work and fitting out the shop will be completed in around three months time, but with Brexit and Covid-19 restrictions adding extra complexities.
