Chris Dick writes is monthly report of events in and around Effingham in the Guildford Dragon, which can be read here
The key event in March was the presentation by Berkley Homes for the replacement of the Howard of Effingham school and the new houses. Major concerns expressed by residents were the felling of trees in Lower Road, construction traffic, flooding from sewage, and the state of the Effingham Junction railway bridge. After the presentation, the Parish Council held their monthly meeting.
Chris also reported on the new lights in St Lawrence Church, and the bus services.
