Effingham Residents oppose development of 295 houses

Effingham Residents say No to the Appeal

Effingham Residents say No to the Appeal by Berkley Homes  & Howard of Effingham to build 295 houses and to relocate the Howard of Effingham School in the Green Belt. Supporting Effingham Residents are Julie Iles, the newly elected County Councillor for our area. Effingham Residents Association (EFFRA) is helping organise people to attend the hearing to support Guildford Borough Council and Effingham Parish Council in defending the appeal.

It is important that there are residents attending the Inquiry each day so EFFRA is co-ordinating a rota.  Please let us know if you are intending to attend and which day by filling in the form and if you require a lift or can offer a car share.

  1. Thank you to all the residents who attended the photo call to make clear the village’s opposition to the Appeal and to those who attended the opening day of the Inquiry or have said they will go on other days. I encourage residents to attend to show their opposition and to support the four parish councillors who will be acting as witnesses and are currently expecting to speak on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th May.
