After the major fire in April, Effingham’s Village Supermarket and Post Office reopen on Thursday 1 October. Extensive repairs have been carried out by Bala to The Village Supermarket. Preparations are still ongoing, but already the new layout looks great.
Antoinette Chitty, Post Office Change Manager, said: “We know how important a Post Office is to a community so we are delighted that Effingham Post Office is re-opening after the devastating fire.”
The Post Office opening hours are Monday to Saturday: 8am – 7pm; Sunday: 9am – 7pm.
Effingham Post Office provided banking on behalf of the main UK banks, bill payment, cash withdrawals and foreign currency, postage, home shopping collections and returns.
Good luck to Bala and the team this morning. We are delighted to have you back!
Having been involved in the temporary Community Store, during your absence; we really appreciate, how hard you all work to serve the village.
With all best wishes for the future, Reverend Mandy and the congregation of Effingham with Little Bookham Parish.
