The projects aim to provide:
- The creation of a network of accessible pathways through a Woodland Trail with greater access to nature and wildlife.
- A MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) to support the training and development needs of our sports clubs and give the local community an opportunity to play informally.
- Inclusive play equipment and playground upgrades throughout the facility for those with mobility issues.
- Increased parking capacity
- Upgraded cafe space
- Increased security, better access etc.
The KGV is seeking grants to fund the projects and has made an application to Surrey County Council for a grant of £500,000 from Your Fund Surrey (a Surrey County Council community project fund) to start the first phase of the projects. Community support is essential for the grant proposal to be favourably considered.
