Jonathan Bore, the Inspector of Guildford’s Local Plan has raised 37 issues that Guildford Borough Council must address. Amongst the issues raised are:
- The rate of delivery of new houses in the early years of the plan is too low
- The balance of land use. More unused commercial sites should be used for housing
- The release of land from the Green Belt
- Affordable homes policies are too vague
- Major developments in the AONB should not be allowed
- Natural England only needs to be consulted, and not obtain their agreement on Thames Basin SPA
