Local Plan has higher housing target

ggg2

The housing target is now higher (13860 or 693 homes per year) in the new Local Plan, compared with the 2014 draft.

All the strategic sites are included (Wisley; Blackwell Farm; Gosden Hill Farm; Normandy) – there are still major sites in the Horsleys, in Worplesdon, in Ash and Tongham and at Garlick’s Arch.  Many villages will be inset from the Green Belt, and the settlement boundaries for many of them are changing.  The Rural Exception site policy means that housing can be built ANYWHERE – inside or outside the settlement bound.

Their views on the Local Plan, which including villages Inset from the Green Belt (such as Effingham), are set out on their website here
