On Tuesday 22 August, Travellers broke the lock on the barrier onto Effingham Common.
The Travellers then invaded the site, threatening residents trying to stop them.
Police and Guildford Borough Council were quickly onto the site. It is understood that the Travellers have been issued with a notice to quit the site.
