Cycle Race – Road Closures on Sunday 29 July

Prudential RideLondon returns on the weekend of 28-29 July with more than 100,000 riders expected to participate in seven separate events, four of which take in parts of Surrey. Details about the event can be found on the Prudential RideLondon website.

Roads will be closed in central London on Saturday 28 July and in London and Surrey on Sunday 29 July, so you should plan your travel in advance. Details of the road closures can be found here

For Effingham residents, this means that Effingham roads will remain open. However, the A246 is a contingency route, so may get closed at short notice. And no parking is allowed along the A246. Ranmore Common Road and White Down Lane are part of the cycle route.

  1. And if the A246 is closed how then are we supposed to get hospital in the event of a medical emergency? This wretched race will eventually kill a resident all because of these wannabe Bradley Wiggins clones.
