Thank you to all the wonderful Effingham Gentleman’s Club members and the other community volunteers who did such a great clear up of the garden this morning. Andrew Hunt, a Gentleman’s Club member generously donated wood chippings to mulch the garden and our local landscaper Tim Hobbes very kindly gave up his Saturday morning to transport the wood chippings to the garden and take the green waste away.
We have a little more to do before the interpretation board is installed in November (date of unveiling to be announced). The board will tell the story of Barnes Wallis’ life and career and his involvement in and contribution to Effingham.
We hope residents like and enjoy the rejuvenated garden.
