The competition is part of the annual Meat Management Industry Awards, where the best in the UK’s meat industry are rewarded and celebrated. The “Britains Best Butchers Shop” category is open to independent retail butchers across the UK.
The company, based in Kingston Upon Thames, with a shop in Effingham, has a close working relationship with local farmers, helping ensure traceability and sustainability. This year they have been able to get beef and lamb from Polsden Lacey in Great Bookham. The company was founded in 1929, with shops in four locations, also including Esher and Bagshot.
