Surrey County Council are planning the resurface the road in Forest Road and Horsley Road, which will result in the road being closed. Hosley Road from Effingham Junction to Cedar Nursary will be closed from Friday 1st March to Monday 4th March, and Forest Road will be closed from Monday 4th March to Saturday 9th March between 8pm and 6am

Will access to Old Lane be affected?
It looks like access to Old Lane and Effingham Common Road will remain open
Old Lane was open this morning though the road is flooded (if not impassable) just beyond the turning for Mays Green and in a terrible state beyond the Black Swan. There were also temporary traffic lights on Effingham Common Road where hopefully the very large pothole on the side of the lane heading away from the village is being fixed.
