Effingham resident on BBC Radio Surrey Friday 27th April lunchtime

Vivien White, a historian who lives in Effingham, (who is also the Chairman of EFFRA) is to be interviewed by BBC Radio Surrey tomorrow Friday 27th April at about 12.40pm about a charity event to be held at Fetcham Park on Wednesday 2nd May in aid of Perennial, the Gardeners’ Royal Benevolent Society which is based in Leatherhead. At the event on 2nd May she will talk about the original gardens created at Fetcham Park in 1708 by the royal gardener, George London, before a Gardeners’ Question and Answer Panel chaired by BBC garden expert , Jean Griffin.

Tickets cost £25 include a glass of wine with all proceeds going to Perennial.

  1. The house and grounds at Fetcham Park will also be open to the public on Wednesday 2nd May between 5.30 to 9pm. This is a rare opportunity to see inside this historic Grade II* listed house with its beautiful Louis Laguerre murals, even if you don’t want to attend the event, as the house is used for serviced offices and events and is not normally open to the public.
