Sir Douglas Haig public house
Effingham Parish Council (EPC) has nominated the Sir Douglas Haig public house to be added to Guildford Borough Council’s list of Assets of Community Value. The Sir Douglas Haig has recently been sold and whilst there does not appear to be a threat to its survival in the short term this may change. An Asset of Community Value is considered to improve the social wellbeing or interests of the local community and listing it gives it some protection.
If you would like to support listing the Sir Douglas Haig as an Asset of Community Value you can do so by emailing communityassets@guildford.gov.uk and saying why you think it should be listed.
The consultation closes at 12.00 on 10th December.
