It will be Heritage Open Day in Effingham and Little Bookham this Saturday 14th September. Seven historic buildings will be open and there will be an exhibition on the history of Little Bookham called “The village between two ancient routeways: Exploring the history of Little Bookham” at the Manor Farm Tithe Barn in Little Bookham.
The Friends of St Lawrence and All Saints Churches will be providing home-made cakes and refreshments to enjoy in the Tithe Barn and pretty garden. There will also be refreshments at the Methodist Chapel along with children’s activities.
The seven historic buildings with their times of opening are:
- Effingham Golf Club from 9am to 12am
- Methodist Chapel from 10am to 4pm (also Friday 10am to 4pm)
- St Lawrence Church from 10am to 4pm
- Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church from 10am to 4pm
- All Saints Church from 9.30am to 5pm
- Manor House School from 10am to 5pm
- Manor Farm Tithe Barn and exhibition from 9.30am to 5pm
The Grange is opening on Friday 13th September with tours at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm.
