How to sign Petition to challenge grey belt policy

As previously reported, Paula Moss, Effingham resident and Deputy Chair of Effingham Parish Council has founded the Rural Roar campaign to challenge grey belt policy and is working with other concerned parish councils and groups around the country.  Following the recent changes to national planning policy 92% of the borough of Guildford has been classified as grey belt. This makes it much easier for developers to build in and around villages including Effingham.  The public meeting held at East Horsley on 9th October was enthusiastically supported by concerned local residents.  The BBC recently covered the issue which can be viewed from the link below.

A petition has been developed with the House of Commons Petitions Committee to seek a legal mechanism for review of the policy. It needs 10,000 signatures to obligate the government to issue a public, official statement addressing the issue.  The EFFRA committee is supporting the campaign and petition and asks residents to consider signing the petition and sharing it with friends and family.  The QR code and link below takes you directly to the petition.  Please consider signing and help the petition meet its target..
