Roadworks update 1st June

Please note that the items listed below cover only those roadworks on more major routes likely to lead to significant traffic delaysTo check on all roadworks coming up, please go to https://one.network/ which provides a live map of ongoing works, both scheduled and emergency, and can be searched by location and date / time frame.

Effingham Common Road Multiway lights from April 1st – August 4th. One hopes this will be done sooner! It has started up at the station end and is gradually moving back towards the village.

On Clandon Road just before it goes over the A3 to Ripley there are a couple of items to note.  First two-way lights for Roadside Ranger works from June 1st – 3rd.   Then an overnight closure from June 2nd – 3rd for surface dressing.  Also over the next two weeks are possible overnight road closures on A3

Over in Bookham, there are the usual crop of traffic lights all over the place but it looks like the road closures in Church Road are gone, at least for now.

Remember you can always report a Highways Issue such as potholes, drainage problems, traffic lights not working etc at https://tellus.surreycc.gov.uk/

  1. I find it amazing how much material manpower and time has been spent on laying speed humps along church rd. surely it would have been more sensible to fix the potholes around Bookham before pointless speed humps. Yes fairly pointless as I have lived here for over forty years and never had an issue with church rd speeding at least no more than on many other roads.
