Roadworks update 21st April

Please note that the items listed below cover only those roadworks on more major routes likely to lead to significant traffic delaysTo check on all roadworks coming up, please go to https://one.network/ which provides a live map of ongoing works, both scheduled and emergency, and can be searched by location and date / time frame.

Apart from the usual flurry of lights along the A246, there are a couple of items to mention in Bookham.

The A246 in the centre of Bookham will have temporary two-way lights whilst the traffic lights at the top of the High Street and by Griffin Way/ Broderick Grove are fully refurbished.  This work is from 18th – 24th April and Broderick Grove will be closed during this time. It looks like the works may extend into the following week too.

Effingham Common Road Multiway lights from April 1st – August 4th. One hopes this will be done sooner! It has started up at the station end and is gradually moving back towards the village.

Old Lane has some closures over the next week or so for water works. Best rely on the signage at the Effingham Junction end of Old Lane.

Also over the next two weeks are overnight road closures on A3 and Wisley Lane from Ockham to Wisley gardens and village. Look out for signed diversions if needing to travel then.

Remember you can always report a Highways Issue such as potholes, drainage problems, traffic lights not working etc at https://tellus.surreycc.gov.uk/
