EFFRA has been informed by Berkeley Homes that it is providing a formal online update of its proposals for Effingham Lodge Farm in Lower Road, following the July consultation.
Newsletters are to be delivered to residents who will be given until 23rd September to provide any further feedback.
The EFFRA Committee considers the time allowed much too short. It also does not consider the questions asked meet the necessary standards regarding fairness, lack of bias and transparency. We have communicated this to Berkeley Homes.

Usual bull from developers who don’t live here. GBC does very little for us long-standing residents (apart from increase Council Tax for minimal services) so why should we help their apparent housing shortfall? I could go on…
I haven’t bothered commenting on their hardly-massaged presentation because they skirt around the real fact that, like Oxshott and Cobham where I have lived, I hope most residents want a TOWN, like they have become. I moved 30 years ago when I saw that happening to what were beautiful little villages with a couple of superstars, not as they are now!
Just voiced on their latest proposal. Underlying message will be ignored!
