Guildford Borough Council has announced changes to waste collections over the Christmas and the New Year period 2024 to 2025.

GBC would also like to remind residents to check what they can put in their recycling especially at this time of year. For example, you can only put wrapping paper and Christmas cards into your recycling bin if they are paper or card. Glitter covered and non-paper gift wraps that are made from foil-based paper, cannot be recycled. That type of paper should be put in your general, black rubbish bin. If residents are unsure about what they can recycle, I would encourage them to check on their website
